The Swiss Solution to a Global Problem. We protect our precious water resources, humans, and our environment from the negative impacts of highly persistent, mobile and toxic micropollutants with our efficient and sustainable technology.
From efficient water treatment to advanced monitoring –
We are the micropollutant experts.
As seen in
What
Micropollutants represent a massive range of organic pollutants that are released from products used by all of us daily. Pharmaceuticals, hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, personal care products, industrial chemicals, forever chemicals or PFAS, etc. These persistent compounds are non-biodegradable, bio-active, carcinogenic, and toxic to the lives of humans and our ecosystems. They pose significant risks even at very low concentrations such as 1 ng/L, hence, they are termed micropollutants. A wide range of problematic micropollutants have already been detected in rivers, lakes, groundwater, drinking water, and even our rainwater, Globally!
But: Thanks to our unique technology, we can remove a large proportion of the micropollutants from wastewater and thus provide a cleaner environment – cost-effectively and sustainably.
Where
Micropollutants are discharged into wastewater during production, processing, use, and disposal of chemicals and consumers products. When wastewater containing micropollutants does not receive efficient treatment, they enter our rivers, lakes, groundwater, and drinking water via various pathways: from effluents of wastewater treatment plants, residential runoff, direct release into water bodies or leaching from soils and via precipitation. Find out here where and how our water resources are being polluted.

Why
The numbers are alarming: micropollutants in our water bodies not only lead to the pollution of nature and the environment, they claim thousands of human victims every day. Here are some facts and figures around the terrifying truth about our untreated wastewater.

How
We have developed a modular water treatment technology driven by Oxyle’s novel catalyst. Our smart catalysts are able to harness various types of energy sources (e.g. light, vibrations, flow and stress) from the surrounding wastewater and convert them into chemical reactions for oxidation, destruction, and complete mineralisation of toxic micropollutants into harmless by-products.
Our unique water treatment process provides our customers with a non-selective, cost-effective, scalable, and sustainable solution to meet stringent discharge limits. We do all that, while providing our customers with real-time water quality data to ensure only the highest quality of effluents are discharged into our precious bodies of water.
Impact
The concentrations at which PFOA will likely have no toxic effect is 0.004 ng/L.
That is equivalent to a concentration of 1 tiny drop of PFOA in 5000 Olympic pools!
Oxyle’s treatment removes PFOA (and other PFAS) to well below detection limits.
